• Advertising system on Google.
• History | Google was created in 1998.  Adwords was created in 2003.

2. What Google Adwords Does?

• It connects advertisers with people searching on a search engine.
• Self-serve auction placing your website in search of a search engine results page (SERPs).
• Examples 1. your own business (your own name). example 2. Service-based business.

3. Basic Principles of AdWords.

• Bid along with other companies to show up on the first page.
• Build campaigns where you house your ads and keywords.
• Choose and bid on keywords.
• Auction.
• Also where you would launch retargeting/display campaigns.
