Learning new skills can be fun. It is about the long game and how you’re learning new skills.

The Discussion today focuses on things we do to up our game. It is never boring around here.

You’ll walk away with a few things to do to set yourself up for learning the skills you want. I dare you to try one or two of the above and see what happens. This is long game stuff.
The Goal; To Have fun, gain skills and enjoy your Marketing. If you’re a person that wants to do these things this live is for you.

If You Don’t Know Me I am…I am Pip. I love the digital space, I work online and I help business owners get their marketing. In the video (below), you’ll see me trying something new. Ecamm-live, yup we are upping our game. So fun and a great way to make doing lives fun. The live isn’t as fluid as It will be in coming months. For the first run, I am pretty pleased. Okay, let’s get to it.

👉1. Skills Game -Finding a job post

Okay, this one is cool as we did the by accident and we’re planning on doing it again for next year. Goddess, I love this goal stuff! it is fun. I love the push and drive it creates. Anyway, The task. Go and find a job you would want. Print out the criteria of what they want. Pin it to your wall or put it in a folder that you will look through periodically. We put ours in our to be filled tray so every time we do a big filling sweep we see it (like once every 4 months). It is probably more valuable to put on your wall as you’ll see it more often. The Value is on seeing it so it would be more valuable to look at it periodically. I bet over the next year you’ll develop some of those skills, if not all of them most of them. Weird but cool idea eh?! and it works, it worked for us. Will it work the second year? Now that is the question. We’re willing to try. Will you try it? So that is number 1 thing to do to up your skill set. Not Woo-Woo at all right! It could feel a little ethereal for some.

The second thing we think is super cool to do is the word of the Year. Our Number 2.

👉2. Pick a word for the year. This word is a word that you pick as a theme. It is the thing you want to develop most. It is a feeling almost more than a thing. So take a moment thinnk of a feeling you want to have next year and then find a word that matches that feelign. A good word for me might be success or growth. What would be a good word for you and what you want next year. Remember to try to be concise. We do get what we ask for or that is what I think. Last year our word was ‘Team.’ Amazingly enough, we are now surrounded by a few people we’d call team members or team mates. Words work, and this is a great way to infuse great ideas, good intentions and skill growth into your life. We’er still pondering what our years’ word will be.

👉3. Don’t know what you want to do? Yup, I totally know the feeling. I’ve been there. 4 years ago I wasn’t doing what I am doing now. I still worked for someone. Maybe you want to do too many things and you have trouble picking and maybe you get lead down the wrong road easily and you are doing things you never intended and dislike. I get that, It happens to the best of us.  My solution, write down all the jobs you’ve ever had (or even your volunteer work) then write down what you loved and hated about each (in separate columns). The review. What did you love doing? What did you hate?  This is a great way to figure out what you like and what you don’t like. Once you know this you can begin to choose more things which will lead you to try and do more things that you like. Seems intuitive but I had to do it. I had to take that time to write this stuff down.

👉4. Google primer | app (also desktop). A good way to learn on the go. We’re trying it now and it is pretty fun. Land ahoy, lastly we jumped into

👉5. What we’re working on | The planning.  We’re beginning some goal planning. Last year we didn’t hit all our goals. We hit a fair number of them and our world is definitely going in the right direction. How we’re changing it up. We’re doing a year and then breaking it down into quarters and dealing a quarter at a time. We want to live on purpose and so we’re planning. We might not get it all right but we’re going to uplevel. Join us because we know you can too and we want to be right beside you.
